Signature is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee. Established in 1999 it operates in Hampshire and surrounding areas. Signature’s mission is:-
"To develop and deliver innovative value for money services to vulnerable adults that enable them to gain and maintain independence, basing our practice on ethical values and progressive theory".
 Through a strong senior management team the organisation provides care and support to adults with learning disabilities, mental health issues, substance misuse problems, homeless people and those with complex needs in a variety of settings. We currently have approximately 150 service users and 21 different services including residential care, hostel, day services, domiciliary care and support and supported housing.
The organisation has developed successful partnerships with 6 housing providers and funding arrangements with 7 local authorities and Primary Care Trusts.
This 5 year business plan has two central themes. The consolidation of the organisation’s current work and the development of new services in response to changing needs and demands.
The plan puts forward six strategic aims. The first will consolidate our financial stability. The second aim will provide a basis for future development. The third aim will improve the profile of the organisation. The fourth aim ensures that central services are effectively and appropriately located and resourced. Within this we will be relocating our central office. The fifth aim continues to develop our commitment to service user involvement and the sixth aim focuses on exceeding quality standards. Within this we aim to achieve Investors In People Award.
The plan sets out how these strategic aims can be achieved with a new focus on fundraising activity.
The organisation is now an established and proven care and support provider working with vulnerable adults. This plan sets out a 5 year future for its continued success.
